This is a very good article, but unfortunately Victoria Secret’s didn’t take it to heart that they are ruining our children. They made it even worse, and made a whole clothing line for the “tween” children 9-12 years old. I am so disappointed, I just hope that parent’s try keep their children outside playing and just having fun from ages 9-12. This age is just to early to have the stress of looking good. You should all still be just having fun.

    Rachel,

this article is very well written, compelling, and thought-provoking. I could not agree more with the issues you brought up and also hope that someday our society will be able to realize the beauty of every single individual.

When I wrote my senior sermon for Yom HaShoah, i hoped to move people and inspire them to start thinking about the dangers of perfectionism. I think your article does the same thing. Maybe my video and your article will help start a new trend at Milken and in the world at large, and hopefully people will be inspired to combat this issue.

again, this is a superb article! GREAT JOB!
    🙂

Why doesn’t the roar do actual stories and polls about what is going on around Milken. It is too bad the Roar does not get published on a paper. Everybody used to be so excited for the roar! Now, everybody is not too fond of it. If the ROAR decides to defend themselves, that’s fine, but the Student Voice likes the physical paper better.

the roar went online for several reasons. the first reason is obviously to save paper… milken wants to be environmentally friendly. going online also makes the roar accessible to many more people- we like to be part of a community. also, since the roar is online, you are able to leave comments just like this. you even get to be anonymous so you won’t have to confront me in person. and the roar does cover stories around school, it is MILKEN’S newspaper. you should read sophie golub’s article about sswt and milken splitting, it’s a great read.
